Know your limits
by EmbeddedJanitor (597831)

I too agree that it is sad to see the passing of a Great One. He certainly contributed greatly and built a mighty pedestal. Unfortunately he also chose to dilute his high quality work with quite a lot of trite, enough to earn his own derogatory tag.

While it is important to speak when you have something useful to say, it is as important to Shut The Fuck Up when you haven't.

Well duh!

I've been trying to date carbon based life forms for a while now and it is damn tricky.

I was going to switch to one of those plastic blow up dolls until I found out that they're loaded with carbon too!

It must not lose mass!
by EmbeddedJanitor (597831)

Who cares if it loses weight. It just must not lose mass. kg is a unit of **mass**, not weight.

Equal opportunity, affirmative action scheduler

For the really touchy-feely OS out there!

It also means that tasks which were denied adequate runtime in the past will now be favored over current tasks, to make up for the prior unfairness. :)

Caused by God
by EmbeddedJanitor (597831)

God is getting too cheap to pay the heating bill so he's turned down the thermostat.

This probably is a precursor for the Second Coming. Unlike the first kid who dropped out of carpentry class, the next kid wants to go to college and he needs to save up.

No it isn't invisible
by EmbeddedJanitor (597831)

but it is close.... Yet another misleading /. subject header.

The basic idea is that the plane flies by rotating and, just as a fan blade or propeller becomes close to invisible when spinning, this aircraft might too.

Of course visibility to the naked eye is only a very small part of invisibility. This thing probably sticks out like dogs balls on radar.

Excuse my asking, but how well do Dog-balls stand out on Radar?
